Spectrum pushes rural broadband web in Winnebago, Fond du Lac counties

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) – Spectrum is launching an effort to make high-speed web entry extra accessible in underserved rural communities in Winnebago and Fond du Lac counties.

Greater than 1,500 houses and companies are actually eligible for the high-speed service. In Winnebago County, the growth contains components of Nepeuskun, Omro, and Rushford. In Fond du Lac County, it contains parts of the City of Fond du Lac, Ashford, Auburn, Byron, Eden, and Osceola.

The web supplier’s effort is a part of the Rural Digital Alternative Fund program. Spectrum obtained a further $1 billion from the Federal Communications Fee on prime of an present $5 million rural neighborhood funding.

Spectrum held an occasion Friday in Winnebago County asserting the service and was joined by state Sen. Dan Feyen (R-Fond du Lac) and Winnebago County Board Chair Tom Egan.
