One of many oldest houses in Logan County, CroHurst, would be the subject on the Elkhart Historic Society dinner lecture collection on Friday, July 22. Bob Neal, the present proprietor of the house, would be the presenter for this system and provides his perception on restoring the dwelling that was as soon as owned by Violet Scully in rural Lincoln and the CroHurst dwelling in Elkhart. The historical past of the Elkhart dwelling dates again to the 1834 period and was constructed by John Latham, the son of Choose James Latham who was a pioneer of Logan County.

When John Latham died the house was bought by John D. Gillett who would later will the house to his daughter in 1891. The home was handed down by the generations till former Logan County legal professional John Gehlbach bought the house in 1968. Neal and his spouse Lynne bought the house in 2009.
