Girls’s Volleyball | Mavericks Sweep UMary in Residence NSIC Match – Minnesota State College

Mankato, Minn. – The Minnesota State ladies’s volleyball workforce picked up its second straight dwelling league sweep with a 3-0 victory over UMary Saturday in Taylor Middle.
Coming off a 3-0 win over Minot State Friday, the Mavericks bested the visiting Marauders (25-6, 25-22, 25-20) immediately.

Minnesota State, which hit at a .257 clip within the win over UMary, was led offensively by freshman Emily Kern, who put down 12 kills. Sophomore Toryn Richards, sophomore

Brooke Bolwerk and freshman Ellie Kline posted 12 digs every and Bolwerk handed out 31 assists. Junior Sophie Tietz and Kern contributed with 5 blocks every.

College of Mary, which fell to 2-14 total and 1-7 NSIC, was led by Robi Binagi with 9 kills. Mady Freed handed 21 assists, whereas Kaia Sueker posted 12 digs.

Minnesota State, now 4-12 total and 3-5 NSIC for the season and winners of three of its final 4 matches, continues NSIC motion Tuesday with Concordia-St. Paul visiting Taylor Middle.
